Marked Improvement

We've been doing some personalized workshopping over the last few weeks. We've been examining two players a week, giving half of the rehearsal to each for building them up and examining both strengths and weaknesses. We've delved into the energetic, the emotional, wants and touched a little, little on seduction.

I want to use this more as it relates to want, and not as it always relates to sexual seduction. I want to see the team work on getting what they want through seduction. Be it mental, physical, emotional, etc. I just need to formalize the exercises that I want to use. There are three players specifically that I want to turn on to these techniques as I think they will make awesome tools on their utility belts. Not that they aren't tools for everyone, but these three would benefit most.

Thursday's Show

Suggestion - Tooth Brush

We tried a new format Thursday night, and we called it Basic Training. Our intent is to get back to the basics of our improv, and for each show we are going to tackle a single basic skill.

Thursday's focus was on emotion and emotional matching. I think we did a pretty good job with it in all. I enjoyed the show, and although we had a couple of dogs, the bulk of our scenes were dynamic, inciteful and funny. I still think we need to work on the matching a little more, and I'm going to suggest that we focus on this again for our next show, but I like the idea and it has worked out well.

On a side note, Jimmy was in the audience, and I swear I could feel the force level rise to give Clif and I more power to feed from. Sara hasn't been feeling well the last couple weeks (vertigo problems) so we took off after our set, but I know that CTAS and Men in Shirts are both playing again in the next couple months, so I'll be back, Ann Arbor, oh yes, I'll be back.
